Mel works with individuals and couples navigating relationship challenges, intimacy concerns, trauma, identity exploration, and life transitions. Many of her clients come to therapy with insight into why they feel stuck but struggle to create lasting change. Melissa believes healing happens not only through understanding our patterns but by experiencing ourselves, our relationships, and the world in new ways.
Her approach is collaborative, compassionate, and thoughtfully direct. Drawing from attachment theory, somatic practices, mindfulness, and Eastern philosophy, Melissa helps clients reconnect with themselves while building healthier, more authentic relationships. She believes therapy is not about fixing what is “wrong,” but creating opportunities for greater awareness, resilience, and freedom.
Melissa has a special interest in couples therapy, sexuality, and helping clients cultivate deeper, more meaningful connections. She values creativity in the therapeutic process and often incorporates experiential exercises, movement, mindfulness, and nature when they support the work. Before becoming a therapist, Melissa served in the military, an experience that continues to shape her appreciation for resilience, courage, and the unique challenges individuals face as they navigate change and healing.
Whether clients are working through relationship conflict, healing from trauma, exploring intimacy, or simply seeking a more connected and fulfilling life, Melissa strives to create a space where they feel challenged, supported, and empowered to move toward the life and relationships they want to build.
