Katie’s main objective is to support you through your journey of understanding your emotional struggles, addressing past traumas or ongoing challenges, and empowering you to make positive changes that lead to a fulfilling life.

Katie’s expertise lies in addressing trauma, anxiety, betrayal, and addictive behaviors, as well as various mental health challenges. She offers support to individuals across all age groups – adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors – through individual, family, and couples therapy, as well as pre-marital counseling and group therapy. As a trauma-informed and eclectic therapist, Katie values the fact that each client is unique and has unique needs in therapy. With this, her approach draws the most relevant techniques from multiple evidence-based therapy modalities, such as Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy, together for an effective, individualized treatment plan for her clients.

Her specialty lies in inner child work, which focuses on understanding how our inner child impacts intimacy, addiction recovery, emotional and physical well-being, and connects us with our authentic selves. Beyond work in group practice, Katie has valuable experience in clinical and non-clinical roles within educational settings, including high schools and universities.

Katie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Florida State University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. She is a National Certified Counselor, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor in California, and Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. Katie is a candidate for three clinical certifications: Eye Movement Desensitization and Restoration (EMDR) Therapy, Certified Partner Trauma Therapy (CPTT), and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT).

Originally from Florida, Katie now calls Greater Los Angeles, California her home. Outside of her therapy sessions, you’ll often find her enjoying a cold brew, exploring Topanga Canyon with her husband and two dogs, Sadie and Bode, and indulging in her guilty pleasures: true-crime documentaries and Bravo TV.
