Dr. Christy Cosper, PhD, LMFT, CSAT-S, CPTT-S

Dr. Christy Cosper is the founder and Executive Director of Sano Counseling Center. As a doctoral-level psychotherapist, she specializes in Marriage and Family Therapy and Sexual Addiction. Christy is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and Supervisor, a Certified Betrayed Partner Therapist and Supervisor, and an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor. She is also the co-author of Transforming the Addictive Mind and a passionate advocate for underserved communities.

Dr. Cosper brings extensive experience in treating addictive and mental health disorders and is widely regarded as a relationship and betrayal trauma expert—particularly in the restoration of relationships impacted by chronic conflict and infidelity. Since 2007, she has maintained a thriving private practice and also facilitates intensive weekend workshops and educational retreats focused on healing and enhancing relationships.

She is licensed in both California and Utah, with offices in Long Beach, Santa Monica, Pasadena, and Irvine, California.

Christy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Addictive Disorders, a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a PhD in Counselor Education.
She lives in Irvine, California with her husband, daughter, and their French bulldog, François.
