Christy Cosper currently serves as the founder and Executive Director of Sano Counseling Center with offices in Long Beach, Santa Monica, Pasadena, and Irvine. She is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, AAMFT approved clinical supervisor, co-author of Transforming the Addictive Mind, and advocate for underserved communities. Christy has extensive experience in the field of Addictive Disorders along with other Mental Health Disorders. She is also a relationship expert, specializing in the restoration of relationships with chronic discord. Christy has been working as a clinician in a private practice setting since 2007. In addition to clinical work, Christy also leads intensive weekend workshops and hosts educational and spiritual retreats that focus on healing and improving relationship with self.
Christy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in addictive disorders; a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, and a PhD from Oregon State University specializing in Counselor-Education.
Christy resides in Irvine, California with her husband Jason, and french bulldog Francois.
