At Sano Counseling Center, we believe recovery is strengthened through connection, accountability, and community. Our Peer Support Group offers a welcoming space where individuals in recovery can connect with others, share experiences, receive encouragement, and build meaningful support networks.
This group is designed for individuals who are in a later stage of recovery, transitioning out of treatment, or looking for ongoing support and connection with others who understand the recovery journey.
Our Peer Support Group is a non-clinical, support-based service focused on shared experiences, accountability, education, and community. Participants are encouraged to talk openly about recovery goals, relationships, work, family, daily challenges, and the ups and downs of maintaining sobriety.
Unlike therapy, peer support is not intended to diagnose, treat, or provide counseling for mental health or substance use disorders. Instead, it offers a structured environment where members can learn from one another, share encouragement, and stay connected to a recovery-focused community.
A trained facilitator is present to help maintain respectful interaction, healthy boundaries, and group structure. Participation is always voluntary, and the focus remains on peer connection rather than individualized treatment.

Recovery can feel lonely at times, especially after leaving treatment, relocating, or going through major life changes. Our Peer Support Group provides a place to reconnect, reflect, and remember that you do not have to navigate recovery alone.
This group is intended for peer support, recovery coaching, and community connection. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, or treatment for any mental health or substance use disorder, and it is not a substitute for mental health care, medical care, or crisis services.
Participants are encouraged to maintain care with a licensed therapist, physician, sponsor, treatment program, or other provider for any clinical, psychiatric, medical, or mental health needs.
