Sano Counseling Center offers culturally competent, sensitive therapists to help you through life’s troubles. Be at ease knowing your therapist is knowledgeable of social justice and diversity issues. Sano Counseling Center proudly offers treatment to individuals from all backgrounds, genders, ethnicities, religions, and sexual orientations.
Sano Counseling Center has offices in Long Beach, West LA, and Irvine, and we have been proudly serving Southern California since February of 2020. Formerly known as Sano Center for Recovery, we transitioned this year to focus more closely on existing patients and broaden our offerings from an Addiction Disorder-focused center. We now proudly take on patients dealing with a wide range of issues related or unrelated to addiction.
Individual therapy is an investment in your best self and is sometimes all you need to level up. Other times, it is used in tandem with group therapy or another more intensive therapy programming. You and your therapist will work to decide what is right for you. Individual therapy is usually conducted in one-hour-per-week sessions.
At Sano Counseling Center, we match you to a counselor best suited to help you with common concerns, including:
Some people are apprehensive about seeking out professional help for several different reasons. While we at Sano Counseling Center respect all opinions, we want to provide an open and welcoming space that encourages them to develop at their own pace. Whether it be fears or embarrassment that is preventing you from getting the help you need and deserve, understand that there are several benefits to seeking out counseling.
In the confidential one-on-one setting of individual therapy, you can feel at ease with a highly trained therapist. As you work through your emotional issues, you may begin to feel more empowered and enlightened about the triggers for behaviors that might have led you to seek help initially.
There are a lot of stressful events that occur throughout our lives, some of which are situations that are entirely out of our control. Not only can these situations be highly stressful, but they can also trigger unhealthy responses in our minds and bodies. Sano Counseling Center helps to teach you new or refine existing coping strategies to respond more positively to internal pressures or negative attitudes.
Sometimes, you might be in a position that you know what you need but just aren’t sure you can get yourself to accomplish your goals. Our professionally trained counselors are here to help. In addition to providing you with solutions, they can also help you better understand the barriers you currently have that are preventing you from seeking the changes you need.
Your Sano Counseling Center counselor will work with you to help with identifying your strengths by gaining insight into your thought processes, feelings, and behavior. Through this hands-on experience, together, you will embark on a journey of change and growth.
Sometimes, individual therapy lasts a few months, and other times it lasts several years. If you have been seeing a therapist for a while and want to discontinue, your therapist may encourage you to come in for a final session to wrap up any loose ends before “terminating” the therapeutic relationship.
Healing is not a linear journey, sometimes it can feel like a labyrinth that never ends. At Sano, we are here to walk the healing path with you, navigating all that life throws at us as a friend who cares. We will meet you where you are with acceptance, not judgment, and see you through until your time in therapy comes to an end.
Call, email, or go online to contact us today to see how we can help you embark on a journey towards self-discovery and growth.
